Founder of Atlantis Gems
Brian Dolan has spent a lifetime in the jewelry industry, and continues to craft a reputation of complete professionalism and integrity.
He began his career at a county jeweler in the South of England, where he learnt the nuances of Antique and Estate jewelry, whilst developing a connoisseur’s eye.
For eight years Brian worked for the world famous jeweler Laurence Graff, handling some of the world’s largest and most exquisite diamonds.
Founder of Atlantis Gems
Brian then used his rapidly advancing knowledge in the industry to advise international and celebrity clients on jewelry and investment choices.
His continual cultivation of knowledge coupled with his passion for jewelry led him to successfully open and operate two Graff boutiques, from which he subsequently went on to become President of the legendary Faberge Inc USA. Brian was responsible for the re-introduction of the iconic Jewelry house into North America.
Now owner of Atlantis Gems he continues to pursue his passion one gem at a time.
Where Bold meets Beautiful
Yellow diamonds are a relatively new, but beautiful addition to the market, and have seen exponential growth in popularity, as well as value, in recent years.
Largely pioneered by the efforts of Laurence Graff (of Bond St.), Yellow Diamonds come in a spectrum of hues and intensities, and owe their distinct color to the presence of Nitrogen atoms.
(Unlike any other colored gem, a Yellow Diamond is graded for color by the GIA, and should be accompanied by a certificate).
Zultanite is a rare and exciting gemstone acquired from Turkey. Found exclusively in only one mine on earth, this “Sultan of Gems” possesses eye clean clarity and is one of the very rare gems that can change colors; by daylight a graceful green, by candlelight a charming champagne.
This stone’s gaining popularity offers the opportunity to acquire a stunning gem in its infancy.
The Naturally Perfected Gem
Pearls are the “Treasure of the Oyster”, and unlike gemstones, they are harvested in their already finished form. Only careful drilling is required before pearls can be coupled and bound with silk.
Historically, pearls have always been regarded as gems of Royalty. Since being cultured by the pioneer Mikimoto in the 19th Century, they are now essentially farmed, which allows for increased availability. Sourced from independent farmers in the South Sea, we are able to offer the worlds most endearing Tahitian Pearls.
The Age-old Treasure
The Elder Sapphire has been treasured since the beginning of time. It can be found in a kaleidoscope of colors, but it is deep blue that first captured man’s attention and imagination.
We highlight the subtle differences between the gems of Sri Lanka, Australia, and India, educating clients to the various treatments & enhancements, allowing them to acquire a jewel of heirloom quality.
Natures Most Verdant Green
A gem beloved by Cleopatra and the ancients, this exquisite gem has a fabled history. From the New World conquistadors in the famous mines of Columbia, to recently discovered sources in Africa, there are a host of choices to acquire one of nature’s most enchanting jewels.
Where Beauty meets Clarity
Aquamarine is a member of the Beryl family, closely related to the Emerald. It possesses a flawless beauty that allows it to be alluringly faceted by the skilful craftsmanship of the lapidaries.
Aquamarine remains a continually sourced, highly favored gem, acquired from the lavish lands of Brazil and Madagascar.
Morganite adopted its name after John Pierpoint Morgan, an avid gemstone collector and a titan of the 20th Century. This radiant charm is available in tender hues of peach and pink, and has an allure, which attracts women from all across the globe.
